Saturday 28th March 2015 saw over a hundred women with endometriosis and their supporters join up to raise awareness and march across the streets of London. On the same day, all across the world women marched in solidarity of the disease. There is a need for a swifter diagnosis, research on treating and finding a cure for endometriosis and a heightened awareness within the community. I attended the march this year and was very humbled by my experience. It was lovely to see the large group positively sharing their stories and who were passionate about making women with endometriosis’ voices heard. There were some fantastic costumes that really stood out, with lots of pink and yellow to match Endometriosis-UKs charity colours. A particular favourite of mine were a couple dressed in armour in true ‘endo-warrior fashion’. A massive well done to everyone who attended that day. Hope to see you there next year!
